Officina della Scrittura is the first museum in the world dedicated to the Sign. It is an important project that traces the birth and growth of a remarkable invention: written communication.

History and writing intertwine to reconstruct the events, culture and art of the Sumerians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. Starting from the history of the populations, a journey towards the
discovery of writing tools and media. The fulcrum of the work will be the sign that becomes the written word for the communication and transmission of the peoples’ knowledge.

Opening Times

From Mondays to Friday from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 18, last admission at 17.
Open every last weekend of the month from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 19, last admission at 18.
Booking is required (at least 48h).
