Officina della Scrittura is the first museum in the world dedicated to the Sign. It is an important project that traces the birth and growth of a remarkable invention: written communication.

Civil Service 2025: a unique opportunity for young volunteers!
Officina della Scrittura is taking part in the ‘Giovani&Museo’ project, in collaboration with the Egyptian Museum and the VOL.TO Association. The initiative offers 4 volunteers the chance to live an educational experience within the two museums in Turin.

Volunteers at the Officina della Scrittura will be involved in cultural activities such as the organisation of exhibitions, events and heritage protection. In addition, volunteers from both institutions will collaborate on a joint project dedicated to Sign, Writing and Egyptian history and archaeology.

Opening Times

From Mondays to Friday from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 18, last admission at 17.
Open every last weekend of the month from 10.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 19, last admission at 18.
Booking is required (at least 48h).
The Museo Officina della Scrittura will be closed for the summer break from 4 to 24 August inclusive.
